Very nice model with incredible detail held back by some inconsistencies.
Worth mentioning are various perforated grilles thoughout (except the one between headlights), wonderful and accurate red front seats and carpeting, detailed engine bay with a support for the hood (not actually needed as the hood holds open just fine, but still a lovely detail for photorealistic positioning on a shelf), an underfloor spare tyre in the trunk or the opening fuel door.
Mainly the interior is incredibly detailed from the red seatbelts to the pedal box, dashbard or stitching and switches on the doors...
With all that said, some of the panel gaps on the doors are uneven and on the rear hatch particularly quite large. That along with the notchy suspension on the rear axle are the main downsides (front is quite nice and progressive). There's also a bit of a weird agressive camber on the rear wheels probably due to the rear axle construction (it bends more than it should).
Overall still a very solid model, particularly if you require working suspension.
Great model with a stylish champagne gold metallic paint. Very sturdy (with a metal chassis) and well put together.
Other than the obligatory all opening doors, hood and trunk and working suspension (very supple on all wheels), it also gets an opening trunk floor with a spare tyre underneath and sliding front seats.
The only real downside is the mostly black interior (with just a touch of silver trim on the doors and the dashboard). That said, the carpeting is thick and soft and the interior is otherwise very detailed throughout.
Definitely recommend.
Fantastic model with so many details. This match the top manufacturers for sure. Unfortunately a bit fragile one part was missing at arrival but SAM supplied that part with next order - fabulous customer service, thanks. To bad I by mistake broke the frame for the spare tire 😖 will se if it is fixable
Pretty nice model that in some respect looks better in reality than in photos, but feels a little plasticky or fragile in places and is relatively light as well.
The interior for instance is more detailed than it looks. Also the paint of the black model is very subtly metallic which I didn't realise beforehand.
The working suspension is soft and progressive. And while the rear suspension has several realisically moving pieces along with the moving wheels, they sadly are fragile small plastic pieces (again that feeling of the model not being too sturdy ).
Similarly the opening sunroof is pretty finicky.
So overall the model is nice with a fair amount of features and details (hinges are great on the tailgate and hood, for instance), it lacks a certain solidity of say Almost Real or LCD models.
I used to consider this model way too high riding and avoided it for a while, but later I noticed several real life Lexus LS models also riding surprisingly tall. Soo... I decided to get this model in lovely metalic gray and I do not regret it at all.
Compared with most other dealer Lexus models, the LS500h seems pretty solid (also very heavy with the underbody in metal as well) and is very detailed with many features: opening sunroof, opening glove box, sliding front seats, removable cargo floor, removable engine cover, working suspension with a decent range or a surprisingly detailed hinge setup on the hood (it slides forward and up rather then being on simple dogleg hinges).
The only disadvantages are a rather dark interior (thankfully not fully black, but the dark red is still dark) and various trim pieces not being glued too well and shaking loose during shipping (quite like many other Lexus dealer models). Not a seller problem as the model was well packaged as usual, but some of the magnets holding the hood and the various removable pieces, same as one rear ligh cover etc. had to be glued back. But these little pieces are easy enought to correct because they aren't stressed functional pieces.
So in the end, one of the better Lexus models available, definitely recommended.
A 1:18 scale legend from Motorhelix, which couldn't be missing.
A beautifully crafted model. Improved AUTOart.
Another perfectly secured package.
All models are always in perfect condition and without any flaws.
Thanks
Beautiful model with a perfectly applied, interesting and unusual paint job. As always, Small Ants packaged the car well, shipped it quickly and provided excellent communication.
